What temp?

    what temperature should i keep my reef at it stays at room temp (75) but some times my mom turns off the a/c and it getsto 80 (not very often) or it's close the door and at winter it gets to 65-70 what should i keep it at what is a safe range of temp change

    Keeping the temp constant is the key. 80 degrees is the "norm", with exceptions of course, but 80 degrees is in line with the ocean. You can use a small heater and set it at 78-80 in winter then in summer (when mom may turn off air) set it to 76.

    I would get a heater and set it at 78-80. Buy a small clip on fan from wal-mart and blow it over the water when the ac is off and the temp starts rising. But IMO a swing of 78-80 isn't horrible.

    Mine stays at 80 during the day.. I have a clip on fan like bmshehan said, I have it kick on about every hour for about a half hour just in case things get too heated... Oh how I love timers...

    Better get something to stabilize that temp or your going to have stress on your livestock. 78 to 79 is a good temp.
