    I just bought a leather coral 2 nights ago and when i came up for bed tonight i took a quick look at it and noticed very long tentacles swaying back and forth with the current. What in the world is that and what is it for? i heard its a sign of a healthy coral but just wanted to make sure. the tentacle things almost reach the top of the tank and the coral is at the bottom. here is a quick picture of what it looks like. except its clear and thin...

    Sounds like toadstool leather. Thats normal Im surprised it opened up so fast.

    here it is... that was a couple of hours after i put it in the tank... it looks a lot better now (and sorry for the crappy photos
