I have some funny looking things growing everywehre in my sump/fuge. Please help me to ID this and determine if its good or bac. The way that is is growing, I can only imagine that its not good. It has also spreaded to my protein skimmer and I am afraid that it will begin to spread to my DT soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have taken the best pictures that I can. Kinda nervous here because my tank is doing well.

Pic 1 is a wide out shot to show how many there are and the other 3 are close up of the un identified things.

    Help!!!!

Pineapple sponges (scypha or leucilla) are harmless filter feeders.

It's highly unlikely they will move to your DT. Even if they do, they won't be visible....they'll be underneath rocks, under caves, etc.

I've never once found the need to control them.

these little guys are ALL OVER my sump and protein skimmer and I cant say I have ever seen one in my display tank. They are harmless filter feeders most people have them in their sump. nothing to worry about.

For me they are in my sump and my dt, in my dt they are hard to see because they are under little caves, basically nothing to worry about

I have a few in the display here and there. Under mushrooms and in other shady spots.
