Definitely not ones that size. Only the green ones will attack fish.

He won't get much bigger than that. I've had rocks loaded with them and you'd never know how many there were until they all reached their arms out.

I have 2 large ones. I had them in a 20 Long for a spell when my 44 corner sprung a leak and they have never been a problem. They keep to themselves. The brown one has befriended my Neon Strip Goby. (The Goby hates everything, but it lives in a hole with this Serpent Star for some reason)

    lmao!

jokes aside though, I've read that they can get up to 8 inches in diameter! if mine stays this size, i'd be happy. plus, he's not green so he shouldn't be dangerous

lol !! sometimes light humor is good in such a serious hobby :p

Its going to take that little sucker a long time to get anywhere close to 8 inches !! Depending on what CUC and fish/inverts you add, a sea star that small will most likely just become a small snack !!

The beauty is that by the time he gets big enough to even TRY and do harm to anything (which in unlikely in the first place), he will also be big enough to take out.

Don't sweat the small stuff, as they say
