What the heck is this?

    I've got this little thing growing on my new LR. It is growing FAST. The little picture in the corner is how it changed in just two hours. Please help me ID. I haven't been able to find anything close.

    not a real clear pic, but it looks to me like my zoa's did after they shriveled up to nothing.....hmmmm:confused: maybe some sort of Tunicate...it doesn't move around does it? It also looks like there are 3 of whatever they are...

    It's purple in color and I have not noticed it moving. There are several other spots where more are growing but I can't get a good shot on those.

    definatley looks like a zoanthid colony starting. good lighting should get them to open and actinics to give em some great color.

    new LR so they will just acclimate then open up

    I have 760w with 2x250 MH and 4x blue actinics. That should work great. Thanks. Karma to you both. :)
