    I was curious if antone could tell me what this is? It was on the live rock when i got it. It dosent appear to be growing or anything just sits in one spot. Thanks for any input.

    It is a sponge and harmless IME.

    Yup, just a sponge. I've seen that species do pretty well in a reef tank before, although I can't remember the species name.

    Do you know if it will get any bigger. or will it just stay the same size? Does anyone know the name of the sponge.

    I would say technically it is probably a Cinachyra sp. "Yellow Ball Sponge" but sponges are difficult to identify some times. As for it growing, I believe that under the right conditions it could/would grow but probably never really get more than a couple inches or so.
