What the @%*$ is that?!?!

Hey guys. So I hooked up a power filter to my tank to run phosbuster and when I removed it two days later I found this. :-/ Actually two but one was chewed up from going through the blades (it could have been half of this one I can't tell) So anyway can anyone tell me what this is? It is huge and should I keep it or throw it? Also it seems to use half of its "bristles" to try to walk if that helps.

Bristle worm. some think good scavengers when small some think attack corals. i'd get rid of it.

I've only had one encounter and it didn't bother me, but i've heard not to handle it w/ bare hands.

 

Looks like dinner to me. fork and all ready to go. lol no really i believe its a bristle worm aswell.

 

Definetly a briste worm. You have more then you think in your tank. Next time you feed your fish, take a closer look at the food that sticks to the substrate and rock. Chances are you'll see some of these scavenging for food. Or after your lights have been out for a few hours get a flashlight with a red filter on it(crtitters wont see that spectrum) and you'll be surprised on what you'll see.

 

Thank you all. I had just never seen a bristle worm that big before. And that was only half of it. I looked closer and it had been chopped in half. I threw it out. I don't want my corals falling to that big boy.
