What the ??? small three inch crazy fish

    I caught this crazy little guy yesterday in a cast net while searching for bait. He was in an inlet but only a few hundred yards from theopen ocean. I live in Northeast Florida if that's any help.

    Looks like some type of gurnard. They are the "flying fish". Kinda looks like a "flying gurnard", but not positive.

    just googled gurnard and this certainly seems right. Not sure exactly which gurnard, but definatly the right species. Thanks Coylee 17! Any thoughts on whether it would make a good specimen for keeping in my 30G FOWLR??

    Some species can apparently get pretty big, says up to 90 cm on one site I was looking at (I believe this is 3 feet?). But I think most are small. Good luck.

    Its definately a flying Gunard. They sell them here at my LFS as well.

    no its not a gurnard its a sea raven or sea robin one of those i have a ton of them i think there creepy looking
