What the.......

    It has been said time and time again, don't use a flashlight at night. But did i listen.... of course not. So I found all these critters. I am pretty sure they are all the same thing and I could not get a very good picture of them. They seem to range in size from mechanical pencil lead diameter to #2 pencil lead, and about 2mm in length to about 6-8 mm in length. It almost seems like it has a tail tucked under like a shrimp might have but only looks like it has a couple of "feelers" on the head. Here is the best pictures my phone could get. Hopefully they are not bad but I have to know if I need to take action or not.

    I hope you can see it. It is right in the middle. Hoping it is just future food and not future PITA.

    To be clear, whoever said to not use a flashlight was wrong. That's the easiest way to find harmful pests before they do too much damage, as the majority are nocturnal and hide very well during the day.

    A flashlight at night is how you see if your corals are stinging eachother, harmful pests and so on. I make it a point to check my tank weekly at night.

    those are called lunch, dinner and midnight snack..

    at least thats what my CBB thinks of them. Mandarins love those too.
