I just used what I had lying around I have 1/8 on my refugium side and I think 1/4 on the skimmer section.

Ya it's not like the glass is going to under any tremendous amount of pressure or anything

Unless for some reason he has a baffle between a large drop in water depth, ie, going from 20 in to 5-8 in. Then 1/8" might not be a good choice.

Go with 1/4", marginally more expensive, and you'll have peace of mind.

+1, use 1/4", 1/8th" will break pretty easy.

Hey guys. It's been awhile since I've been on here and I had to get out of the hobby for a while but I'm starting to get some stuff back together!!!! So excited. I have a 30 gallon tank I'm using for my DIY sump project.
I have one baffle in already then makes the First section. the inlet from display tank that will fall through a filter sock. The water then travels under a baffle to the skimmer section with heater and I'm going to get a auto top off system and put it in here as we'll. think that is worth the money. (Also have to get a RODI unit still). The next part is what I'm having trouble with. I don't know how I am going to silicone the bubble trap that separates the middle and last sections. The baffles will be to close together to get in there. Any suggestions.
