First off, introduce them slowly. Quarantine each fish a while before you put it in your tank. Keep up with your parameters and keep the water healthy for them and they will be happy!

Introducing them slowly(one at a time) lets the tank bacterial filter build up as needed to accommodate your new fish.

I didn't quarantine my fish when I got them and later realized one had brooklynella and then they both died... Now I have a display tank that I can't have fish in for a couple months while the parasites die off without a host. I learned the hard way... don't make the same mistake with that as many of us have done before.

Other than that... keeping your water parameters in check and not over feeding will do you wonders in keeping healthy fish.

    ;D

I know you probably knew some of this from freshwater but I'd rather be safe by giving you all of the info rather than miss something and have you cursing me under your breath...

Also a skimmer if you don't have one is a nice addition for cleaning up your tank. Well, after it is broken in... make sure you clean it well before you put it on the tank or it will make your break in take forever...

Other than that most people just use the basics unless they find a need for some kind of dosing or a reactor of some kind.

Welcome to the hobby and the most frustrating wait you've probably had... if you are nearly as anxious as I was when my cycle started... LOL

I would also consider getting an auto feeder that enables you to feed multiple times per day.
