What to buy, RKL controller or MP20???

Ok guys(and gals), I have another What to buy thread this time involving equipment. I am torn between getting a Vortech MP20 or a Reef Keeper Lite with extras.

If I get the RKL I will also buy the SL2 adapter, Salinity Probe, PH probe, and down the road an ORP probe.

If I get the Vortech MP20, I will get a Vortech MP20 and lots of serious flow for my new SPS frags Im buying today..

Help me decide people..

I know I would love to get both, but thats just not going to happen right now, haha..

 

Get the RKL and a couple Hydor Korallias

 

I agree, I would vote for the RKL with pH probe and the Net addon before ORP/salinity probes.

You can get good results from Koralias and nothing compares to having your tank alert you when your heater dies.

 

Controllers are really cool, If I had to choose I would go with an RK2. Why bother getting the $99 lite when you only get 4 outlets, have to add on the SL2 and get all the probes. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get a RK2 (I guess there called "RK lite plus" now) and have all the probes you want + 4 more controllable outlets than adding them in later?

+1 on that. I just got the Reef Keeper Elite and it is hand down the best thing I have bought for my tank!

I settled on the RKL.. I have a feeling its really going to help me a lot..

 

I love my controller -- extremely glad that I got it. The only 'down side' is that you can do almost anything with it. All you have to do is buy another probe, or expansion card, or cable, or...

 

Hey bama,did you get your RKL yet,I was gonna ask the wifeyclaus to bring one this christmas..give us a good run down when you get it dialed in...
