One of my favorite corals is my Elegance Coral, Great center piece Coral.

Very Anemoneish with out the risk of it moving around your tank and getting shredded in your powerheads...;)

Nice choices on the new corals. If you want to try an Acro, I would recommend a green slimer. They are hardier than most acros but develop an almost neon green coloring and are pretty fast growers.

As far as the elegance coral, there was a study started a couple years ago by Eric Borneman as a result of the increasing difficulty in keeping these. Here is a link: Elegance Corals: Sustainability and Disease Impacting Catalaphyllia jardinei (Wells 1971) in the Aquarium Trade by Eric Borneman - Reefkeeping.com

Some are easy to keep, yet others develop a fatal condition he describes as ECS in the article. Nothing conclusive but it appears the origin of the Elegance has a significant bearing on it's survivability. See the article for details.

Hey SEAGUY good read thank you, plenty of info.If I come across a moderate priced one I think I`ll give it a try..starting to lean toward one a bit..lol...but I think im going to try a birds nest , monti cap, or the slimer next,I like the way the grow/look...I think they will add a little dimention to the tank..
