    Another bbs question.....

After perfecting the hatch, raising to adult etc. I find that I end up with the outer shell of the eggs. Is there anything that can be done with this to benefit our tanks or do we simply just throw them out?

Id like to hear what others do if they are not throwing them out.

Throw them out, it's trash. I think the shells are toxic to a reef tank.

Not necessarily toxic but I think they're full of phosphate?

Brine shrimp cysts have been known to lodge in the digestive tract of some smaller fish, and, they definitely can be a source of harmful bacteria.
Hatching water and cysts should never come in contact with your tank water. Always rinse brine shrimp in fresh water before adding them to your tank.
