There have been many studies about saltwater and septic systems and the concensus it they cause no harm and in some cases actually improve clay type soils and make them more permeable. These studies were usually with softener brine which contains higher salt levels and often large amounts during a backwash cycle. People have been doing it for years.

Saltwater will not harm your plumbing either as it gets flushed out frequently.

I started using that avatar after 4 separate people in 2 states said I look like him. One was even a stranger in an airport.
Attached is my real photo, I don't see the resemblance, except for the gray?

    oh man, so many stories...

my favorite, I saw them do it, again. The last time they did it and I confronted I was told "it's what dogs do" (that is asinine on so many levels). So this time, went out with a bag, picked it up and followed them home. (Far enough back that I didn't freak them out though).

Dumped it on their front porch.

Lady immediately threw a fit (was still outside w/the dog when I walked up). Can you guess what I said before walking off?

    "it's what I do".

I have a few more. I do not tolerate that DS (vs BS)
