Hey guys! Do you all have any ideas on what to feed my Linckia Orange Sea Star? And also, I just did a water change to raise the salt a bit but I've read that they are intolerent to sudden Alkalinity changes. Thanks

By the way I feel a bit like a fool asking this. It's like the first time I've bought something and not read about it's feeding habits but it's okay since my LFS Down the road is supplied with all food such as frozen food.

The diet of starfish is very poorly understood. Most of what we know about stars is from dead specimens and unfortunately most have very poor track records in captivity. The best thing you can do is place it in a large well established system where there is lots of food four it to scavenge on from the liverock. sand, walls etc. Make sure the tank is not too sterile and feed a variety of foods to the tank in hopes it finds something it likes. They take many weeks to months to show any signs of starvation and by then it is too late.

If only all starfish were as easy to care for as serpent and brittle stars!!! Good luck!

Mmm One of my Sea Star's legs is a bit thin at the end :/ Not sure whether he's healthy or not. Can't provide Pictures due to not having a USB connection. I'll keep you updated.
