    how deep would you recommend I go on the DSB... 6inches?

    Oh and I am planning on only having Chaeto and a DSB so can the water flow be fast?

    4 - 6 inches would be adequate IME Brennan
    plenty of depth for the anaerobic bacteria to colonise

    you want no more than about 5 x the fuge volume in turnover per hour IME
    You need to give the macro and bacteria time to break down the nutrients being delivered there

    not my tank volume but the fuges so if it were a 10g fuge i would want 50gph flow?

    I'd go for the sump, light, then ATO because most people don't use ATO's at all; I just replenish evaporated water with RO/DI water whenever I can
