Currently I have a 72 gallon bowfront with 90 pounds of live rock. I currentlyu have a solar wrasse, ocellaris clown, 6 spot goby and 2 chalk bass. I want to get at least 1-3 more chalk bass. As well as a yellow candy hogfish and possibly a firefish. Will this work?

no one can tell u, theres no exact science to the hobby. Its like taking 10 people is a room and saying will they all be friends...who knows. I think its alot of fish for a 72 but that depends how open yer rock work is and how much filtration u have. I have 12-13 fish in my 250, including a solar wrasse as u have and mine loves to swim.

I am not gonna get the firefish. I sent an email to the owner of my lfs seeing if he could get some yellow candy hog fish in. Hopefully he will have them in for their sale and I can get it 30% off.

thats a lot of fish for a tank that size. if you have a big filter and a skimmer then it might work. just make sure its not over stocked

I found another hobbyist with a yellow candy hogfish he wants to get rid of. What should I consider when buying a fish from another hobbyist. I may go with just one more chalk bass if I get the hog. My simmer is a Reef Devil with an Oceanic 2 sump with phosban reactor and 5 gallon fuge plus I run a filter sock and bags of carbon.

Hi! I have the same tank as you do!!!
I have the 72G BF with corner overflow. I love it!
Actually the firefish depends on your other livestock.
I did not see mine at all unless it was feeding time. I had a 2stripe damsel that picked on him constantly. Well he eventually got more agressive and went after my other livestock, so he went down the porcilan god.
    Now he stays out 24/7
My current live stock are the Firefish, Coral beauty, Yellow tang, Domino Damsel, and 1 Ocalaris
