What to get with my christmas money...i can get a 150 or a 57 rimless... i already have the stand and sump for the 150. but i would be spending the same considering the equipment i have...which would be easier to take care of after i get it going. i want to do a reef tank

150 IMO is better; more livestock and a bigger reef altogether. besides u already have the stand and sump so y not?

You're only gonna wish you went bigger once you get started so start big. +1 on bigger is better. I wish I had gone bigger when I started I am now planning a 150-180 penninsula.;)

bigger is better. but not only for the seen reasons (more livestock, looks cooler etc.) in a bigger tank, parameters dont swing as easliy. for example, if a couple of snails die in an 8 gal biocube and are left unnoticed, it can wreak havoc, but in a 150 it wouldnt really affect much.

just for the latter reason i would go with the 150. its just simply easier

good luck and post some pics :)
