What to get??

    all right i'll get some live rock. and some snails. this should help my tank shouldn't it??

    also i have power heads.... does that cause problems??

    some live rock and a good clean up crew would do wonders to your tank. Reefcleaners has clean up crew packages that are already designed for different gallons to make it easy for you to pick how many snails you need. They also sell base rock (rock that is dry with no life on it yet) I would recommend you buy mostly base rock, and seed it with perhaps one or two pieces of live rock from the local fish store. Buying mostly base rock will save you alot of money, and in a few weeks the base rock will become live rock.

    A good amount of rock is 1-2 lbs of rock per gallon.


    Oh, and powerheads are needed more for water movement for corals, but are still very helpful in fish only tanks to circulate water throughout the system and into "dead spots" behind rock that may accumulate debris.
