Just got mine a bit ago and it had a o-ring too big for it! Customer service was awesome, this guy is great! Also you'll want the bubble difuser for sure or else your tank is gonna look aweful! Also clean it out often or else overflow! plus attach a drip line to the front of the volume control! Trust me, if airflow gets blocked, water flies outta that and half will go in your tank but half out!

If you are placing this in a sump you wont need the bubble diffuser, unless you really want it. I just use a filter sock to kill the bubbles.

 

+1. Mine is now in sump and all broken in. I haven't used a filter sock, but the bubble trap I built into the sump takes care of the bubbles.

That link shows some mods to do for cheap to get rid of the diffuser box and get it running better!

 

Good thread I appreciate the suggestions of the members. The only thing I can really tell looking at it is the collection cup, and I think they went to the needle wheel impeller.
