Hey guy's I just started working at a new LFS and we just got this anemone in and it wasnt listed on the invoice but it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!
In my 16 years being in and working in this hobby I have never seen an anemone like this, I want to purchase it but I wont until I know more about it and what it requires for care, lighting, etc etc

For some reason I think i remember seeing that the export of these is now illegal out of japan (not saying you are breaking any laws) they are becoming rarities that are sought after. I saw a red one go for 250$ about the size of a quarter.

Yes, I saw one of these on Divers Den last week. They originate form the cold waters of Japan, and will not do well in our warm-water marine tanks. The 60-70 degrees is best temp. range for them.

Cool thank you, FWIW the place that it was ordered from has had it for about a year in a tank with a temp between 77-79 and its doing well in our coral system as well, I would have though if it was super sensitive to cold water it woulda croaked by now no?

I wont be buying it though since I obviously wouldnt be giving it the correct care since I dont run a chiller but its a really nice anemone
