When I bought this it was marked as a Red Bubble Tip Anemone.
I don't see bubbles on the tips so can you tell me what it actually is?

Could be a RBTA, they string out and loose their bubbles when they need more light.

Yes, I think it could be RBTA. If you look at the mouth, it should have white stripes coming out from around the mouth....

Bubble tip is mis-leading, Entacmaea quadricolor may or may not have bubble tips. I have not found any relevant research that addresses why they do at times had bubble tips and why some BTA are absent of bubble tips.

A BTA will typically have that rounded tip to the tentacles, it's blunt rather than tapering.

Some do, some don't and then they do, no rhyme or reason. I have had them right next to each other, one with bubble tips, one without.

Not sure about that, mine is inches away from a lot of light and still no bubbles. I'v heard and seen them bubble up when theres predators in the tank.

I just put it in this weekend and it seems to have made a home in that position.
I figured it would move if it wasn't happy like my long tentacle did.
One of my 2 clowns seems to be hosting between it and the LTA.
    Thanks for the info.
Should I try moving it or leave it be and see where it decides to go?

My suggestion is to only move an anemone when it's in immediate danger of exposure to heaters/overflows/power heads.

Anemones will find their spot, typically you can not make them stay anywhere.

+1 just let it settle it will take time to adjust to the flow and light - they will go were they want ;)

Some say they are hungry when they are not bubbled. Idk, the two I have had did not bubble either. Which is good to me cause I think they look better that way. :)
