Awesome! Go for the D5000, all Nikons are GREAT. BTW I have the Nikon 55-200mm lense and it takes incredible pictures. I highly reccomend it ;)

haha, Thanks guys! :) Karma for both! :) Looks like i will be investing in the 55-200mm VR lens when i have the cash. I have heard really good things and JJL likes it so looks like it's a keeper! (and its cheaper too!:) ). Good luck on the D3100! Hopefully you will get it soon! :p

To be honest, i think the 18-200mm is a great all around recreational lens. You should just buy the camera body, and the 18-200mm VR. I believe they have a VRII now. I've been wanting to pick up one of these just to take on trips, so I'll never miss a shot due to not having the right focal length on the body at the time.

Yeah renting lenses is cool too. Lots of people rent. Many of which are professional photographers that need a specific lens for a shoot but don't want to dish out a couple grand for it. Especially since some lenses range up to 30k. I'm speaking of what I like to call "sigma's f2.8 bazooka"!

the 18-200 is a very versatile lens. The VR lenses are about equal with the Sigma version and the VRII version takes amazing shots. If I remember right the min focal distance is 18" which is great. I have both the Sigma and VR and find myself partial to the Sigma. It is probably in the exact same price range as the 55-200 but will open you up for a wider range of shots, especially indoors.

I have digital 4420 camera. I really like it, because it has many options and I can get very clear and colorful photos from it. And also the photos are very nice which that I get from my cam. I think that digital 4420 camera is the world best camera.
