Ok, sorry i havent posted a comment in a while. I have been EXTREAMLY busy with school and everything else. I finally got the "Nikon D5000!" I can't describe it in words! I golf a ton so i use the 4 fps quite often which is really nice! You can see the swing REALLY well. I would highly recommend. I will post a Review Thread about this camera soon and post all the pics up on there! I was very pleased with the way it performs and the thing i like the most about it is the "D-Lighting." It is very easy to use once you learn your way. This is my first camera since the little dinky digital cameras that are like $70. I got a total steel cause usually this camera is $799 and best buy had it on sale for $599! If you have any questions i would LOVE to answer them! Any comments, suggestions, or questions are well apreciated! :) Thank you guys for ALL the help and keep the posts and bumps coming! lol

That is AWESOME! I hear the D5000 is a great camera. Maybe I will be upgrading even further to that (Now I have the D40 and I LOVE it!) $599 is also an EXTREMELY low price for the D5000. Is that just the body or with the standard lense? Either way it is an absolute steal though. We want to see pictures with it of your tank! You will love making the change to DSLRs, the quality, performance, and speed is SO MUCH BETTER especially with the Nikons and Cannons IME
    Enjoy the camera ;)

Thanks so much! Yes, that came with the (standard) 18-55mm lens! Tomorrows the last day so go to your local Best Buy and pick one up! You will not regret it! :) Karma for you!

They're so cheap because Nikon came out with the D5100. Best Buy, and Nikon, are clearing their inventory for the newer model.

That said, it's a dang good opportunity to grab one on the cheap. As a graphic designer and former pro photographer friend explained to me (since I've been researching to buy a DSLR myself), you really want to invest in lenses rather than camera bodies. Bodies are constantly upgraded, but quality lenses will last forever - especially with a company like Canon or Nikon, where they use the same lens mounts they did for the last 25+ years.

Will at AquaSD advised me to get a 'cheapo' Luminix (or something like that). Thats what he uses for the pics he post on here for us to drool over   He said he paid like 300 buck for his whole setup.

I got a great deal on a Nikon D40x. Remanufactured and warrantied for 500 bucks.
