I have a fluval 404 on my predator tank (with a broken impeller, but the new one is in the mail). I got it with ceramic filter media (looks like ceramic cilnders and ceramic hexagons), but I was wondering if this was the best thing to be running in it. Anyone have suggestions?

That wouldn't hurt along with filter floss to polish the water.

I recently started using Blue Life Clear FX Pro in mine, seems to work well, just rinse everything with tank water from water changes to degunk it...often.
