What type of light do you need for this coral?

    Mushroom and Leather (Cladiella) Corals:confused:
    what care do you need for it? What type of lights? food?

    Leathers and mushrooms are easy to take care of. No need for Metal Halides / LED's and dont really need to feed them, but foods like snowplankton/zooplex will help it grow faster.

    go to liveaqauria and read up on the ones you have! they have a decent write up for almost all corals!

    well, i just heard it was a really easy coral to care for. like, would it need all of the special lights that other corals need?

    I have several mushrooms under T5 lighting and they are splitting on their own. I don't know about leathers, but I think you would be fine with T5's all the way around with these corals.

    No, but unless that's the only type corals you plan to keep, I'd suggest getting a decent fixture.

    What size is your tank, and what type lighting do you have now?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    They will do fine under Power Compacts.

    Power Compacts while not cheap they are a lot cheaper than T5, LED or MH.

    You might be able to get away with T8 for some type of mushrooms, leather would probably be a challenge.

    Typically with decent lighting you need not target feed, stable water parameters are more important IMO.
