LFS wants to carry a new type of power head and wanted to know what every one uses. Good bad whatever state what you use and your beef or blessing. Please don't get mean with it.

We've only ever used Koralias. Wouldn't dream of switching over to something else. Good flow, and extremely easy to adjust and mount anywhere you want. They suction onto the glass, but also have a magnet on the other side of the tank to hold them, meaning that puppy's not coming off any time soon. And you can easily take them apart to clean them. With Hydor supplying different Koralia sizes for any tank, all the way from Nano size to Magnum size, I don't see why you would need any other type of powerhead :)

In my 72 gallon i use the maxi jets and i love them. I have no issues with them.

In my 20 gallon i have the koralias and i hate them. They seem very cheaply made and require monthly cleaning. I would not buy them again.

This as with everything is just my opinion.

I have used Koralias and MaxiJets. MaxiJets are the best siphon assist type I have come across. Koralias are the best overall. Not only are they able to adjust position easily, but they come with an add-on that will narrow the flow if desired.

Now, there is a knock off to the Koralias that are about half price. However, just looking at them, there is no magnetic mount (it has the ever-annoying suction mount) and it looks to be 'stuck' in narrow flow mode.

I have tried three different types of siphon assist for my CPR before finally doing it right and buying the aqua lifter. However, of all of them, the MaxiJet was the best in that department.

I have only used koralia's so it's a biased opinion. But I have several and my favorite thing about them is how I can easily move them to anywhere in the tank (I rearrange flow kind of often).

My oldest pair I have had running for 8 months. I have cleaned them once to get some GHA off. Since then my blenny keeps them clean.

I have the 2 koralias and a seio and I must say that I love my koralias. The seio however is adjustable meaning you can scale the flow back a little if you want. If it went out on me though I would replace it with another koralia
