what type of sands are there?

    What differnt type of sand is there?
    All i know is super soft sand, and kinda hard sand with broken shells in them

    Ill list the ones I know of. There is crushed coral which is like it sounds crushed coral. It usually comes in bigger chunks. Most people don't like it including me. There is also live sand from the ocean. This is usually your best option IMO. Lastly but probably my favorite is arogonite sand. It looks just like ocean sand and costs much less. I believe it also carry's weakness's as far as calcium and buffering capability's though.

    And on that note I will bump this for the eyes of someone more knowledgeable.

    i have the really really soft white sands..are they any good? I heard if you put sand sifters in there, it can make your water cloudy from sand, and also break down filters.
