It's my nano-reef...LOL it's is still new so it will be a year before it looks as nice as some others on here. I'm sure I'll have something bigger by then too.

When I got the tank. I told hubby look what I got for free.. He told me.. There's no such thing as a free kitten. Boy was he right. This thing has cost me quite a bit of money.

The Baltimore Aquarium about 5 years ago. Started the interest but it wasn't until now that I could even think about starting one. Even now I have to take things super slow!!!

My husband has wanted a tank forever! I kept saying no, too much money. Then oneday a co-worker was moving and offered her 75 gal tank and stand to anyone who would haul it away. I said no. Then I was visiting a friend I had not seen in some time and they had set up a reef tank--it was awesome. I got to thinking...our anniversary was just aound the corner and I am broke...I will give my husband the FREE tank! ::) I obviously had no idea how much it would cost!!! $$$$$---But we do love it and it s nice to have a hobby together. :sweethear

I actually went to a LFS to get a goldfish for my nieces and nephew!

We had a saltwater tank when I was a kid...and before all the new technology that allowed things to live. We had underground filter, gravel, lionfish and seahorses together!
They had no luck of course

Well, was at the LFS and stopped to look at the SW fish. Guy comes over and we start talking. They tell me....you can keep a SW now in nano-sized tanks and showed me the 29g biocube. I figure why not try it. Got the tank and did a butt load of reasearch. Funny thing..did not come out with the goldfish! The rest is history!

Funny thing....i had a lucid dream about buying a loin fish with my brother. When i woke up i thought wow what a funny dream.... so i went to my lfs checked out how much it would cost to setup a tank. nearly 1 year later and loads more money then my lfs said (but under my own budget of 5 gs) i have my 90 gal setup. still waiting for the thing to cycle, but eventually!
