I've had many deaths this past week, so I've moved all my fish from my smaller tank where the deaths occured to my bigger. I am left with only three fish and a turbo snail.

Right now I have a 55 gallon with live rock only that has a valentino saddled puffer, a firefish goby, and a cleaner wrasse.

What would be a good idea to add? I want something attractive and exotic. Personality is a plus. No lionfish or unhardy fish. :)

My water levels were great.. I think it was because my heater died and my light died, so they did not have light for three days. The cleaner wrasse and saddled puffer were in my 55 gal, but my firefish goby was the only survivor in the death tank. I was surprised that he outlived my damsels.

Having no light will not hurt and definitely should not kill a fish... a heater going bad, either electrocuting them, or releasing something toxic into the water, might. Before I could suggest anything in good conscience, I would want to find out what caused the deaths and make sure it doesn't happen again...

Depending on the temperature of the water, that could have killed them too.

You should explore more of what was killing your fish, but as in what you should get a panther grouper or a hieroglyphic hawkfish is cool.

The grouper will eat the firefish and wrasse in no time.

LOL I can imagine. I was at PetCo yesterday to grab a air valve for my autodosing setup, and saw a panther grouper in one of the tanks. I went right up to it and put my hand up against the glass, and it wouldn't budge from its spot - in the front corner, right behind my hand. It didn't even raise its dorsal spines. Absolutely fearless fish. Did I mention that this was within 20 minutes of it coming out of the bag it was shipped in?
