    All,

I'm looking for a return pump for my 120 gallon tank (40 gallon sump)

Since the sump is directly under it, I do need it to be quiet..
Low power consuming would be a plus.

What do you guys use? what could you recommend?

I use an Eheim 1262 submersible pump for my 90gal. Noise is non-existant.

i have used rio hyperflow with great success, Rio use to be a bad brand aand most of the info you'll find will be bad reviews, but the hyperflow have been working for me for 1.5 years without any problem.

The Eheim 1260 and 1262 are always good choices. I might be able to recommend more but I would news to know how many GPH you are wanting.

I use a quiet one 6000. Ive ran it submerged and its extremely quiet. I now run it external and its still very quiet. It flows enough that i have the flow restricted a little bit. Soon ill be using it to drive reactors.

I'm not sure how much GPH you need but I use a Waveline DC5000 and love it. Compact and low wattage. I got mine on sale for $179 a couple weeks ago.
