Shucks, I forgot to mention the 55 is tempered, would a overflow work in that situation? Also all of the equipment has to fit under/inside whatever stand I will get. Does rubbermaid make a stock tank small enough that the sump and a 55 fuge would fit under the stand?

Theres my two cents, answers in red. A lot of the equipment im using, just larger to compensate for the large tank.

The only thing I see is I don't think Warner Marine is making skimmers right now. Also I don't think I can swing 4 vegas...I may be able to find some nice used Sols though. Or maybe they will lower the price of the Sol's with the new vegas....(wishful thinking)

They should be, I just dont think they are official yet. Many members have them on here including myself. i got a demo from a photo shoot or demonstration. You could message Jon Warner and see if he has any details. Otherwise....Warner Marine is a modified version of Skimz skimmers. There are other brands that are great, I just really like mine. Its near silent, only uses 15 watts, and takes up minimal space.

    pick your poison.

on the lights, Vegas are pretty pricey right now and SOL owners might be looking to sell their units so you could probably get a good deal and if you want more color then you could build a custom supplement bar or have someone build one for you.

I pm'd John Warner a few weeks ago and he said they weren't making any at the moment.....Are Monzter or the Kone Skimz supposed to be better?

Most people say a cone version of any skimmer will operate better. Personally I've never had one and dont know. Looks to me like the ones that are recommended for the same max size tank are 100 dollars more if you go with a cone version. So i think i would just stick with the monzter series.

tough call, Just do your research and remember not to skimp on the skimmer, lights, and circulation pumps.

of the two you listed i think i would go with the first.
