Like the title, what would people consider a big reef tank? I'm curious to see what people say. When I got my 90 I thought it was big, but I'm sensing actual large tanks in the future;D

whatever is bigger then what I currently have.

When I got my first tank it was a 29g...thought ok not the biggest but would do me...yeah right for 3 months.

Then I got my 75g. I remember the day they brought that in...I thought OMG  how in the world am I ever going to fill that up and that is definately going to be big enough for me..... Yeah right.....

Lets say within 6 months I traded the 75g plus a 55g that I had set up between there for 135g...surely that is big enough for me....yeah right! We shall see! I was not even amazed at the size this time when they brought it in...I thought is that it?

Now I am just working on getting all sort of species Nano tanks all over the remainder of the house.

I have just decided big is never big enough for me!;D

Well only when I hit the lottery I will have a big tank. Dreaming of 500 Plus. I did see a 1000 gallon for sale locally fully stocked. One can only dream. But for a practical scenario I would say a 150 would be a big tank for me and I would be happy with it.

I would say anything over 120 gal. is big, in my opinion. 55-90 is medium and less than 55 is small, just my basic guidlines

I have a 180 and it seems big to me. I would have said 120 and bigger is "big".
When your RO unit only produces 75 Gallons a day you realize how big it is.
