I have a customer that has a 2125 gallon system. Side to side 1000's with a 125 fuge. That is big.

I would have to agree with you GUY, there are more pieces of equipment that are "maint. free" that are installed in big systems. Like you said, if they have the money to spend on a large system, they also have the money to buy all the bells and whistles. I on the other hand, dont have a money tree in my back yard, so I have to do it my self. But there is more work involved with a reef system rather than a fish only system. Luna

If I can chime back in, I think that anything that can house a full grown acanthurus tang is a large tank.

I started with a 12G Nano, then got a 20G, then immediately jumped into a 150G. I later got a 75G acrylic Clear-For-Life. I think my 150G is slightly big, it actually looks bigger than it actually is. It's about 48"x24"x34" custom All-Glass. I got it to be wide enough for a CA spotted stingray. My friends and family think my 150G is huge, but I think 200+ is big.

I started with a 55 and moved up to a 110. My goal is to have an in wall 200. To me anything larger than 150g is big and a tank is only too big when you can't afford to keep it running right.
