I think I'm finally ready to add some coral or inverts (like a leather or anenome or something like that). Does anyone have any suggestions for something other than what I've already got?

I would just skip right over anemone for now.

Leathers are good, grow fast. Any soft corals really should be fine. I like pulsing xenia, but keep it on it's own rock island or you will wake up one day with a whole tank full of it! LOL! Anthelia (same caution applies), leathers, sinularias, kenya trees, mushrooms, etc.

I like my green star polyps. They add bright color, the glow under actinics, and are totally maintenace free! I don't feed them or anything! They grow quickly but not too much so.

Hairy Mushroom, easy to keep and before you know it, it will lacerate and you'll have 2. It also makes a good surrogate anemone for clownfish. My maroon clown took to it immediately.
However there are many good starter corals like BL posted above.

Mushrooms are easy, but I've found that the easiest (for me) is a colt. They look interesting and have always done well for me, even without the best conditions.

Being a newbie myself, I started out with a couple of leathers and they are doing great, looking into some bubble coral next.

Any idea what your long-term coral keeping plans are? What kind interest you the most? I ask only because I have made the mistake of adding corals to my tank that I'm sorry for now. :)

My lights are the 260 W Power compacts...
I don't mind what sounds like the easy corals now - leathers mushrooms, polyps. Want to put in a xenia too maybe.
