Whats a good water test kit?

    Could you guys tell me what are some cheap, good water test kits you guys use? that comes with the stuff that you need to test, since the whole kit is around $100 I see in LFS

    Depends on what your testing. In my experience some of the cheaper test kits are not easily read. I have swithed to Salifert after using the cheaper Api, Red Sea, etc,. Salifert kits are more expensive but to me it's worth it for the peace of mind. If you want to go cheaper I would go with Api over Red sea IMHO

    I use Elos myself. They are not cheap, but very accurate & easy to read results.

    I have read MANY great reviews on Salifert Kits. Not cheap - but very accurate.

    I use the red sea master kit. I think I got it from marine depot.

    PH
    Ammonia
    Nitrite
    Nitrate
    ALK/DKH

    silfert kits for
    Calcium/Magnesium/Phosphate

    Agreed. I will convert to Sailfert after my API is used up. I paid $20 for API master kit. Shop around though, the same kit was $35 - $40 at a few other LFS.

    +1 on Salifert...easy to use, easy to read. Not cheap, but not rediculously expensive either.
