whats a normal size pump for a 75?

    To put water back into my tank, whats a good size pump? I think Mine is too weak. I have a 75g, with a 30g sump

    300gph @ however many feet of head you need should be good for your setup.

    I have a 100 gallon display wit ha 30 gallon sump amd use an Ocean Runner 3500 as a return pump. Comparable pumps would be a Eheim 1262 (my second choice) and a Mag 9.5 or Quiet One 4000 either of which which would not be one of my choices due to heat and noise, retstart problems with the Quiet One and power consumption with the Mag. I have owned every one of the above an d stick with Ocean Runners for all my pumps, I own 4 of them now.

    I have a 75Gal. with a 10 Gal. sump.... I am using a 700 GPH but I'm thinking about 8-900 GPH for my next pump

    I was going to say I LOVED my mag 9.5 in the sump on my old 75. If you ahve a decent sump, you can run it wide open and get great flow out of it.
