Whats are these bubbles

    Can somebody tell me if i have to get rid of this or is this ok?? These are small there is one that is about 1/2 in diameter with almost like gold flecks around it.

    It is red bubble algae as missionsix stated above. I don't you have to take your tank apart. You might want to try a emerald crab, I do believe they eat all forms of bubble algae.

    I read on one website that it can be devastating. I'm not too sure what they ment by that but it doesn't sound good to me. I would remove it.

    True. Another website said it was "tasty to many herbivores" depending on the species.

    I had a few green ones like that and I was told to be careful because if I burst one of them, it would cause more to grow.

    This is true when they get large. However, when they are small the gametes are not sexually mature yet. (If this was the case, then even emerald crabs would cause them to spread when they ate them).

    What would be considered mature, like i posted in the beginning have one thats about 1/2 in diameter with gold flecks around it?

    It's mature. Gently spin it around and around until the holdfast breaks. Then discard it. If it happens to be holding on in more than one location, pull the rock, pop it, rinse the rock in saltwater, and return to your tank.
