    well i guess i have some work todo. question were does it come from. i've had the tank for 6/7 mnths and out of the blue this pops up?? i havent added anything to the tank since i add a zoo frag about 2 mnths ago.

    You probably have/have had a plethora of unwanted items. In the case of algae, spores can hang out 'til conditions best suit them and then take off.

    Thanks Missionsix just read that article very interesting. Like i said before i will be busy this weekend, gonna take the manual route just to be sure i get it all...Thanks everybody for all your input.

    Montalvos6, as mentioned earlier I am having a similar issue with bubble algea of the red variety. Could you please keep posted what method proved to be most effective for you. I would like to get rid of my (two) patches as well. Thank you
