I am trying to attach a photo of a "thing" I saw on my clowns just now, 2/11/05 2330 hrs. It is a small, app. 1-2 mm in size. has two eyes on each side of its body it has a black, or dark, body and a lighter colored tail and head with two black, or dark, eyes. There was one on each one of my clowns just now. One clown rubbed his off on the anemone, the other can't shake it off.. What is it???

I think God has decided that my venture into saltwater is doomed....

    This is getting upsetting... >:(

I guess I will either lose all my fish to these bastards >:(, or I have to establish another tank for my fish to live in while I starve them out of my main tank??!! GREAT

I was told my gobies will be ok because of their slime coating.. True? :-/

I can put my clowns and chromis in the 20 I was going to use for the Fuge and keep them there for about 4-6 months... The wife will love that!!! :(

I guess I'll be talking to you all again in about 6 months, after the house guests have gone... :-[

Roger, aka not a very good fish guy.... :'(

What kind of goby are you talking about?

The fish tank has to be left 100% fishless in order to ensure that these parasites starve. Just because you only see one doesn't mean that there aren't more or that it hasn't reproduced in your tank :(

I believe the artical stated you only have to have them in there for 3 to 4 months

I am sorry you have to do this but there not much else you can do. :( ............. John

I now have 2 tanks. 65 with no fish in it, and a 20 with only fish in it.

treated the 20 w/ Copper-Safe. No carbon, although the medication does not say anything about removing the carbon... Do I have to?

Pulled 4 Isopods off 3 fish >:(. 3 on clowns and 1 on chromis. all fish appear well, will monitor them though.

    wish me luck, please...
