Whats going on with my skimmer?

Hey all-

my skimmer seems to be working fine except for the fact thats its not collecting anything. left it for a week or so and still nothing so i took it out and cleaned all the parts, but it still isnt collecting. any1 have any ideas on why this could be happening? thanx as always!

 

Model? Depth of water it is placed in? I have a reefocto that can get touchy from time to time. They can often take a little fine tuning.

 

When you cleaned it,you probably removed the slime coating that has to build up before most skimmers work correctly,so it has to break back in and can take a couple weeks to slime up.Thats assuming the skimmer is working properly and you have waste in the tank to collect.

 

Its is a CRP Aquatic Bak Pak II (Its a cheapy) but has worked fine for the last couple of years right where it currently is.... i guess ill wait and see what the deal is...thanks for the reply

 

yeah man either ur tank is clean or u need to adjust bubble level a video would make it a lil ezr but that too easy ...
