All leathers will shed when they are growing or stressed...A white oily looking film substance will cover the toadstool and it will be closed for a a week or so and then it will open back up looking 10x better then it was.

Agreed it is shedding it currently has receded polyps and has a white milky substance on it skin. They shed a mucus like coating which protects against bacterial infection and also allows for building of their inner structure. The only time you should worry about your toadstool is if it starts rotting. They generally get black lesions on their pedal base or start deteriorating. But yours looks great currently just adjusting itself and like zoanthids said shedding it a layer of tissue for growth and bacterial protection.
