I miss a lot of the controversy , so Im not 100% sure what goes on to be honest

but I do post jokes sometimes - in the bucket forum and never had any one complain ?
dont think anyone has laughed either, but thats a material issue

I find this a great site to be honest
the trick is , take on board what is useful, helpful and disregard the rest

I dont think I have offended anyone? if I did, I would appreciate them letting me know, so I never did it again

especially if they are on that "Do you have a gun" thread

I have written essays on this very issue. I have stated; "We can not see the person in order to pick up their affects or facial expressions". Remember, most everything you read is received subjectively by the person reading. Things are taken personal that shouldn't be at times. Yes, there are people on these forums (any forum for that matter) who just want to be nasty and argumentative but for the most part I find this forum informative, progressive and gentle, where as, responders try to fashion their answers as to not offend, I know I do. Remember also that there is a difference between constructive criticism and "putting some one down". If taken in the spirit I believe most constructive criticism is given, it can be most valuable. I think a good rule (one I follow) is that if some post or response offends you, PM that individual and work it out and if you need to go beyond that contact a moderator. Thank you for your indulgence.

Just a reminder to everyone that if you find that a member of our forum goes too far or posts something offensive, the best way to handle it is to report that post so that the moderators can deal with it. Posting to a person who has offended you or who is causing trouble only adds fuel to the fire.

I don't really see a need to close this thread....yet. However, if the original poster wants it closed, I'll be more than happy to do so.

 

I have something to admit now that this thread is up. I made an account like last summer and posted posted posted and all i would get is put down or called an idiot or something. cira030 was my old account. i ended up tearing down the 10 gallon that everyone discriminated about and told me to tear down and started fresh a couple months later with a new screen name and a new tank.

Check out some of those threads by me and tell me if that even looks like the 3reef community. Maybe i did do a lot of stuff wrong. But it was my first time and NO ONE does things right the first time. I learned a lot and im surprised i had the guts to come back...
