Whats my frogspawn doing?

Well i have a pretty new piece of frogspawn which I got about a week ago. One the the heads seems to be seperating with a little piece of the base (skeleton?). Here is a picture. My water is good... i am going to take it to my lfs to double check. Sorry for the bad pics.

Did it get damaged on some rock or something? I don't know how a big piece of skeleton can just randomly break off like that.

 

Not that I know of. Other than that it looks great.

 

yeah that looks like a chunk broke off. how big is the frog spawn and how big is the piece that broke off?
they are pretty hardy coral and should get through it. but since you just bought it, i would take it back. if they accept it.
if they wont, i would take a clean razor and chop it off.

 

it looks great.. it has 4 heads maybe ill try to frag that one or see if i can cut the piece off
