I've started seeing these little things popping up on my bubble corals skeleton. They suck in like tubeworms and then fan out this dual red looking fans....anybody know what this is?

Looks be either a zoanthid or feather duster. In either case a good guy.

    Cool...thanks for the response.

I must have taken 20 pics and thats the best I could get lol. So I'm guessing those can suck back in the tube like my regular feather duster. It threw me off since they were red and had "double" fans.

Yes all feather dusters do that. I thought the red area was coralline algae and you were talking about the spot behind the duster. That looks like a zoanthus to me.

I forget the name of those...basically like a tiny Coco worm...they have a hard tube...they don't get very big and tend to stay out of the light...you'll often find them growing in sumps, behind rocks or under rock ledges...that one is likely shaded by the coral during the day...good little filter feeders that shouldn't hurt a thing.

I know...hard to see things that are already little on an even smaller pic! lol

The red spots to the right of the arrow is the actual duster/zoanthus. When it senses me close it sucks up in its little hole

The area behind the duster looks like a zoanthus. Is that just the rock or is there an animal there?

Yep...just the rock. The whitish area surrounding the red worm/duster is just the rock.

    Thanks for everyone's help! I'm such a novice :)
