Two of my hermit crabs have some wierd bump on their shells. It looks like an eye and opens and closes. When it's open some hairlike thing reaches out. What are they? Are they good?

I'm gonna have to say Barnacle too. I just got a bunch of stuff from reefcleaners and the snails are covered in small barnacles.
Nothing to worry about, they are just harmless filter feeders.
