Is it safe to say that i can keep all softies and lps with 56 watt 50/50 T5 lighting fixture? or should i be hesitant with the lps? Can you think of a list of corals i can keep?

    Thanks,
    Ryan

    softies should be a breeze
and for lps you might be able to pull a frogspawn or something of the sort.

No worries as long as the height of the tank is below 24 inches.

I don't think they make any T5 bulbs that are 56 watts, or any smaller bulbs that add up to 56 watts. I wonder if maybe you might have a power compact fixture (some places call them power compact T5 fixtures but that's just muddying the water)? Maybe with a 65 watt 50/50 PC bulb?

EDIT: Actually I just looked up the 22g cadlights, that's T5 standard output, not the high output that most reefs use these days. I honestly have no idea how those compare to even compact flourescents.

Most LPS have pretty low light requirements too, but you might have to keep some of them up higher in the tank. Also, there are some softies that like lots of light too, I wouldn't define an entire group of coral that broadly, still research exactly what every coral you buy needs.

A list of what you can keep is probably most softies and LPS, some people have even had lucky keeping some of the easier SPS, like montipora, high in the tank under power compact lighting but that would be a risk. Just keep in mind placement of the coral, how much space you have higher up in the tank closer to the bulb, you'll get much better light there than elsewhere.
