Hi all, I have finally made the decision to get a protein skimmer for my 28g jbj nano cube. My tank is in my room so I would like a skimmer that is fairly quiet but still an awesome skimmer. I also need it to fit inside the sump compartment or for it to hang on the back.

I think im stuck between the Tunze 9002 and the AquaC Remora with maxijet 1200 but im still open to any ideas!

    Thank you

Small skimmers tend not to work well in small tanks. The Tunze 9002 or maybe a Reef Octopus HOB (if it will fit) would be your best bets. I definitely don't think there is a need for a skimmer 20g or less, in fact, on that size, they will just cause more headaches IMO. 20-30g is sort of a grey area, it's still not big enough for them to work well, but they can work, especially if there is a decent bioload. There just aren't many good options though, most of the small skimmers aren't good. Of course I should qualify that, some people may think they are though, at least until they use a good skimmer ;D The tunze and ROs are pretty good for smaller end though. Perhaps an Eshops too. There is a smaller one that looked okay from what I've seen, but I'm not as familiar with it.
