If its just a few kalk paste, boiling water, lemon juice or vinegar in a syringe. If its a lot a true Peppermint shrimp will make a meal of them.

A half dozen pepps will do the trick. Let them clean up those aptasia and then return those pepps to your LFS for credit.

Slow drip acclimate those pepps too.

In 25+ years of reefkeeping I have never had a true Peppermint bother anything but aiptasia. Years ago we had a few unscrupulous vendors selling Camelback shrimp as Peppermints and that was a different story.

in 13 years i've had 2 true peppermint shrimp go after coral. One ate a 1 head frogspawn and died from the dip it just came from, the other a 6 blastos and was summarily execute via banishment.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I made sure mine were Peppermints, I knew not to buy the Camels, you can tell by the little humped backs.

It should not surprise me that a shrimp that eats aiptasia might find maxi-mini carpets anemones tasty as well, it did make me very angry. It's frustrating as all get out to target feed your Duncan, food floating all around the tank and you see your peppermint pounce on the LPS to get the food out of the oral disk of the corals.

I never liked adding anything that wasn't water, coral or fish to my tank.

So I always use a syringe full of boiling water to take care of them. You don't need to mix or do anything, and with a syringe there's not much over spray. You can pick one up at walmart in the cooking stuff for a few bucks!
